reelout — Amnesia: The James Brighton Enigma

Saturday, February 3 9:30pm
Etherington Auditorium

Inspired by a true story. A man wakes up naked in a vacant Montreal parking lot. He doesn’t remember his name, where he’s from, or how he got there. The only thing he’s sure of is that he’s gay. A local queer service organization launches a media campaign to help him recover his forgotten past. Eventually he comes to believe his name is James Brighton. Suddenly one night, he is arrested by the Montreal police. Who is he really? A stylishly directed and compelling film, Amnesia explores themes of identity and self discovery, while unveiling a mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Winner of the Best Canadian Feature at Toronto’s Inside Out Festival.
