reelout — camp out
Sunday, January 28 3pm
Sydenham Street United Church
This is reelout’s annual youth-oriented program and admission is by donation.
Like all teenagers, the kids in this documentary are navigating the space between being a child and being an adult. But for these Christian teenagers from the American Mid-West, it is a struggle reconciling their devout Christianity with the fact that they are gay. So when they are given the opportunity to attend the first overnight camp for gay Christian youth it seems like a dream come true. As we follow the original summer camp experience with this diverse group of teens, we are inspired by their journey to be true to their faith, sexuality, and adolescence.
