New holdings at the ARL

Drop by the ARL to check out our new stuff!

- Piles of handmade ZINES from around the world

- ‘Square foot gardening‘ by Mel Bartholomew, 1981. Also includes tips for vegetable gardens!

- ‘Games for actors and non-actors‘ by Augusto Boal, 2002. It sets out the principles and practise of Boal’s revolutionary method, showing how theatre can be used to transform and liberate everyone– actors and non-actors alike!

- ‘Pedagogy of the oppressed‘, by Paulo Freire, 2001. The revised 30th anniversary edition represents a fresh expression of a work that will continue to stimulate and shape the thought of educators and citizens everywhere.

- ‘Planet U: Sustaining the world, reinventing the university’, by Michael M’Gonigle, 2006. This hopeful and insightful book sets out an irresistible challenge: for the university to become an ‘urban catalyst’ for reinventing and invigorating the cultural and ecological fabric of our
society.
