OPIRG Kingston presents Alternative Frosh Week 2007!

Mon Sept 10, 3-6pm - OPIRG Open House at 51 Bader Lane
Join us outdoors for snacks and music provided by The Backyard Sex Band. Meet a variety of OPIRG’s volunteers and learn more about what we do!

Tue Sept 11, 7-10pm - Apple Crisp Frosh Concert at TBA, featuring Tea For The Voyage and other local musicians and spoken word artists!

Wed Sept 12, 6-9pm - Frosh Zine Making Workshop and film screening at 51 Bader Lane
We will screen the documentary “A Hundred Dollars and a Tshirt” while you get to produce a zine about your experiences during orientation week.

Fri Sept 14, 8pm - Riot Grrrl Party at 51 Bader Lane
Come out for the documentary “Don’t Need You: The Herstory of Riot Grrrl”, music from the movement, crafts and snacks!

Sat Sept 15, 1-3:30pm - Sustainable Food Action Walk starting at 51 Bader Lane
Rain or shine, Andrew McCann will share with you the real deal on food in Kingston. Stops will include the Sunnyside Community Garden, The Sleepless Goat Cafe and the Kingston Public Market! This event is co-sponsored by Food Down the Road.

All events are open to everyone! And all events are free excluding the frosh concert which is free to Queen’s Frosh only.

I like the idea, but why can’t you have it during regular frosh, and do activities that are, well, kind of anti-frosh? That’s the whole reason people are searching for an alternative.
