Meeting about Queen’s Code of Conduct: Thurs Oct 11, 8pm

The Senate Committee on Non-Academic Discipline (SONAD) has completed a draft student Code of Conduct that would replace the current one. This draft can be accessed at http://www.queensu.ca/secretariat/senate/DraftCode/index.html. Rule 9 states:

“Students shall refrain from engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct that interferes with the lawful activity of others, including but not limited to, studying, teaching, research, and University administration.”

If this concerns you with respect to the implications it has for legitimate acts of protest, demonstration and civil disobedience, come out to a meeting at 397 Brock St this Thursday October 11th at 8pm.
