Aboriginal Symposium: Nov 16 & 17!

The Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre presents their annual Aboriginal Symposium on Friday November 16th and Saturday November 17th, 2007. This year’s theme is the “Aboriginal Male and Female Body”.

On Friday evening they will be hosting a special event, the re-dedication of Inuit artist Daniel Nookiguak’s “untitled” whale bone sculpture, which will be taking place in the Fireside Room of Stauffer Library from 6:00-7:30pm. Following immediately will be a screening of Atanarjuat: the Fast Runner, in Policy Studies room 202.

Saturday’s events will be held in Policy Studies room 202. The opening ceremony on Saturday will be at 8:30am with a prayer and the closing ceremony will be approximately 5:00pm with feast to follow at the Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre.
