Queer People of Colour Discusssion: Sat Mar 15, 2pm

Queering Race during Queen’s Pride Week

QCRED and OPIRG team up over a delicious meal to talk about sexual and gender diversity in People of Colour and Aboriginal communities. This event will be facilitated by the wonderful Hagar Prah. Having spent the last 10 years + working in the Sexual Assault Centre Kingston as a counsellor, Hagar will initiate a conversation with us about the varied issues facing Queer, Trans, and two spirited People of Colour who experience multiple lived experiences and oppressions because of race/ethnicity, culture, religion, faith, age, ability, class, immigration status, HIV serostatus, etc. This event welcomes People of Colour and Aboriginal Peoples who are Queer and Trans Positive. Don’t feel shy, the conversation will be very informal but powerful non the less andddd there will be a FREE meal!

When: Saturday, March 15th 2:00-5:00pm

Where: QCRED Office, JDUC room 343. Accessible- take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and we are directly infront!

Who: Queer and Trans positive People of colour and Aboriginal People
