Photography Workshop for Food and Beverage workers

MayWorks Kingston is hosting workshops with acclaimed digital photography artists Carole Condé and Karl Beveridge.

From the series 'Ill Wind' produced through a series of visual workshops with health care workers, members of CUPE, Carole Condé + Karl Beveridge, 2001.

The workshops aim to provide an opportunity for food and beverage workers (people who work in bars, pubs, cafes, restaurants, fast food establishments) to express their experiences of work through digital photography.

Carole and Karl will facilitate a workshop on photography on Saturday March 27th and image editing on Sunday March 28th. Workshops are free, though require registration and participation on both days. We aim to bring together a group of workers with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Carole and Karl have collaborated with various trade unions and community organizations in the production of their staged photographic work over the past 25 years. Their work has been exhibited across Canada and internationally in both the trade union movement and art galleries and museums.
