OPIRG Winter 2015 Research Grants

In the continuation of a long tradition OPIRG Kingston is excited to announce the topics, and release of our call for research proposals, for our Winter 2015 Research Grants.

This year OPIRG will award two research grants, each of a value of $1000, in the areas of:
1. Challenging Rape Culture through Education and Prevention in University Communities, and
2. Assessing the Impact and Role of Community Gardens, Urban Agriculture and other Community Greening Initiatives in Kingston Ontario

Applications for these grants are due 4pm March 6, 2015.

A key component to our mandate is to facilitate and inspire community and campus based research that expands and explores issues of social and environmental justice. Our Board of Directors selected these themes as the result of significant opportunities to use this research to inform our education and action initiatives in the upcoming future.
