Able was a publication project supported by the AMS at Queen’s that had the objective of providing disabled community members and their allies an outlet to explore the complexities of disability, compiling visual art and written pieces.

headsUP! was a publication that aimed to create an opportunity for dialogue about mental health and illness, recognizing that the topic is often silenced and considered taboo. Contributors shared their stories and experiences through poetry, prose, and visual art.

Culture Shock
Culture Shock was an anti-racist literary magazine publication at Queen’s that ran out of the AMS Social Issues Commission, showcasing both visual and written pieces by students of all racialized backgrounds.

Here and Queer in Kingston: A Directory of Queer-Positive Resources

This booklet provides an overview of queer-and-trans-friendly spaces and resources that were operating in Kingston at the time, from campus resources and counselling, to online spaces, to bars and erotica shops.
OutWrite! A Queer Review
OutWrite was established as a sub-committee of EQuIP in 2002, and was funded by the Queen’s Social Issues Commission as an independent publication after they recognized the need for a queer outlet. The published anthologies include poetry, photography, short stories, and visual artworks made by queer and/or trans members of the community.

Collective Reflections combined the publications of Culture Shock, headsUP, Able, OutWrite, and Queen’s Feminist Review, wanting to increase the attention to the intersectionality of complex identities.
